It is my hope that we can begin to gather people who… 

To see change, will require several things, but I think these will be the main ones. 

I always come back to this thought. If you want to change something this big, you will need to do it on a local level, long before you put a stranglehold on the top. 

BUT all things begin with an idea. 

• Idea people and thinkers 
• Educators about government 
• People of action (Including those who will run) 
• Communicators and communication 
• Gatherers 
• Above all, participants on every level 

• Want a change in positive manners with our government and its people. 
• Want transparency and openness from all our elected officials. 
• Want the divisions to be healed in our country. 

I have been an observer of American politics and government since I was young. (I think the understanding of politics and history were “required”.) I am no less passionate today than I was in the beginning. I am disappointed in where we stand in this country, with so much division, but, I do believe the people can turn this around. I believe it is about principle and practice rather than personalities. 

I am sure that if we changed some things we can make a difference.  

I believe education about government is one of those areas. My friend, Tom tabled some ideas that I and many others think are valid. We have allowed “parties” to make platforms that contain too many “planks” causing people to feel as though their choices are minimized. The topics of singular topics on bills, term limits and financial thinking when it comes to running for office, lobbying and lobbyists, and PACs are high in the minds of many. 

And how about the media? Media has controlled many and disallowed many. There is no place for “just the facts”, editorializing the news and leading people astray. We need to “defund” it by pulling back from its attraction. The average person does not have the time to weed through the weeds. 

It is time to make changes and those changes begin with us.
